Qutub Minar lights up in 'Jashn-e-Matdan' amidst general elections 2024

Amidst the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, the iconic Qutub Minar in New Delhi has joined the spirit of democracy, 'Jashn-e-Matdan' by illuminating itself with the theme 'Chunav Ka Parv' (Festival of Elections). On Saturday, the Election Commission shared a video of an illuminated Qutub Minar on its X handle.

"… Let's celebrate this festivity by casting our votes #GeneralElections2024,” wrote EC on X. 

On Friday, Phase 2 of the General Elections 2024 witnessed polling in 88 parliamentary constituencies starting at 7 am. The turnout was significant, with an approximate voter participation of 64 percent recorded across the country.
